Ancillary Products Do's and Dont's

Today we had a brief introduction to what we will be producing for our ancillary products, which is a digipack - back, front and inside and also an advertisement.

Here is a couple of Do's and Dont's for our Digipacks.

Do's:

Stick to 3/4 colours when choosing the colour palette for our digipack. Less is definitely more when it comes to a colour scheme, as we don't want to overwhelm the audience

Make sure the ancillary can be connected back to the music video, as it might not make sense
otherwise.

Use a high quality picture, and also use one that will be showing the artist.

Make sure the font is readable, Fonts that are too curly wurly may put off the target audience.

Dont's:

Try to use an image that is too small and have to stretch it out, the quality will be ruined and the digipak will look cheap.

Keep the stylized editing minimum, using effects from photoshop such as distorting it will make it hard for the audience to see the artist.

Use appropriate colours, don't go for a bright pinks or greens if your artist is in an Urban genre.
